The Final Thought

Posted by Rell

It's been a fast paced year for many seniors. Freshman year is soon a blur. I've lost and gained friends. Had the many ups and downs that a normal teenager would endure the course of there high school career.

When I look back I've done my good of the high school life. I also enjoyed the time with friends. Going to all those crazy parties. Even the homework. Volunteering my time to the support of my high school. Sticking behind a student run organization known as Technology Students Association (TSA).

My real final though to High School is I regret nothing and I've lived and learned.

Texting and Driving: My Pledge

Today I am taking a pledge to not text and drive. I feel like this is a positive way to make driving, being on the roads and highways a lot more safer. I was watching a t.v. show, I forget what it was, but the guy asked everyone to take a look at their last message and decide if it was worth putting your life in danger. Many saw that it wasn't including me.

I gave up texting and driving a while back. I will admit it was so hard to do. It seemed as if the world just kind of slowed down and that text message would just be urging me speed it all back up. I would always hear the ringer go off and just have urge to reply. Right then and there I knew I had to fight that pain of not replying. In my head there were thoughts of what if the one text really needed me to reply. Or it has to be important. It was only getting harder.

One day a solution came to me. It was how about silence your phone that way your listening to your radio and you wouldn't hear it. It worked great. I missed a lot of calls and texts but I can say that I'm still living.

Transcendentalism Quote (make-up)

When a resolute young fellow steps up to the great bully, the world, and takes him boldly by the beard, he is often surprised to find it comes off in his hands and that it was only tied on to scare away the timid adventures.- Henry David Thoreau

I don't that there is much we can do about getting comments for our blogs. A lot of students who are involved with blogging are using a different setup than we are. Such as edublog. I don't think they want to deal with the hassle of commenting and a different blog name. I know I wouldn't, I'm just saying.

Another reason why there not commenting is because it's getting closer the end of the school year. Maybe there not even bothering to do it. There probably commenting blogs that they know.

Blogger Challenge #5

I do not wish put a license for anything creative that I am sharing on this blog. I say this because this blog is for educational purposes mainly. I usually work on this blog in class. So I don't feel the need to have someone ask me if they can use something off this class blog. Only if I wish to sell or I am very passionate about whatever my creativity sparks. Besides everyone borrows.
